Welcome to Every Little Story. These Terms & Conditions explain the terms that apply when you visit our website or purchase products from Every Little Story.
By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use our website or purchase our products.
1. About Every Little Story
Every Little Story creates personalized children's books designed to help families navigate meaningful moments and changes in a child's life.
Our books are customized using information, photographs, and other content provided by the customer.

2. Personalized Products
Because our books are individually created for each customer, personalized products are custom-made and cannot be resold to another customer.
Before placing an order, please carefully review the product description, available customization options, pricing, and any applicable shipping information.
Personalized books may include customer-provided names, photographs, wording, and other information submitted through our customization process.
3. Customer-Provided Information and Photographs
You are responsible for ensuring that all information you provide for your personalized book is accurate, including names, spelling, dates, and other personalization details.
You are also responsible for ensuring that you have the appropriate rights and permissions to provide any photographs or other content you submit to Every Little Story.
By submitting photographs or other content, you represent that you have the right to provide that content for use in creating your personalized book.
You agree not to submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, abusive, infringing, or otherwise inappropriate.
Every Little Story reserves the right to decline an order or request different content if submitted material creates a legal, safety, or production concern.
4. Photo Quality and Finished Product
The quality of photographs provided by the customer can affect the appearance of the finished book.
We recommend submitting the highest-quality photographs available and following any photo requirements provided during the customization process.
Every Little Story is not responsible for reduced image quality, blurriness, pixelation, cropping, or other image limitations that result from the quality or resolution of customer-provided photographs.
Colors may also appear somewhat different between a digital screen and the final printed product due to differences between screens, digital files, and printing processes.
5. Personalization and Customer Review
Customers are responsible for carefully reviewing the information they provide for personalization.
If Every Little Story provides a digital proof for customer approval before printing, the customer is responsible for reviewing the proof and identifying any errors before approving it.
Once a proof has been approved, changes requested afterward may require additional fees or may not be possible depending on the stage of production.
If a customer does not respond to a proof request within the timeframe provided, we may contact the customer to obtain approval or, where appropriate, delay production until the required information is received.
If a proof is not provided for a particular product, the information submitted by the customer will be used to create the book as provided.
6. Orders and Payment
All prices are displayed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated.
Payment must be received before we begin creating or processing your personalized order.
By placing an order, you authorize Every Little Story and its payment processing provider to charge the payment method provided for the total amount of your purchase, including applicable taxes and shipping charges.
We reserve the right to correct pricing, description, or availability errors and to cancel an order if an error materially affects the order. If we cancel an order because of an error, you will receive a refund of the amount paid.
7. Customization Form
After purchasing a personalized book, customers may be required to complete a customization form and provide photographs and other information necessary to create the book.
An order cannot be completed until we receive the information reasonably necessary to create the product.
If required information is not submitted within a reasonable period, production may be delayed.
If we are unable to obtain the information necessary to complete an order, we may contact the customer to determine whether the order should be canceled and refunded or otherwise resolved.
8. Cancellations and Changes
Because personalized books require individualized design and production, cancellation and change policies differ from those for standard, non-personalized products.
You may contact us as soon as possible after placing an order if you need to request a cancellation or change.
Once we have begun creating or producing your personalized book, we may be unable to cancel the order or provide a refund.
If we are able to accommodate a change after production has begun, additional charges may apply.
We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requests made before production begins, but we cannot guarantee that a requested change or cancellation will be possible.
9. Returns, Refunds, and Damaged Products
Because personalized books are custom-made, we generally do not accept returns simply because a customer changes their mind or no longer wants the product.
However, we want you to receive a book that is properly produced and consistent with your order.
If your book arrives damaged, defective, materially different from what you ordered, or contains an error caused by Every Little Story, please contact us at everylittlestoryco@gmail.com within 14 days of delivery and include photographs showing the issue.
Depending on the circumstances, we may provide a replacement, correction, refund, or another appropriate resolution.
If an error was caused by information, photographs, or instructions provided incorrectly by the customer, we may not be able to provide a free replacement.
Nothing in this policy limits any rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.
10. Shipping and Delivery
Estimated production and shipping times will be communicated on the product page, during checkout, or in order communications when applicable.
Production time and shipping time are separate. Shipping estimates generally begin after the personalized book has been completed and is ready for shipment.
We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including carrier delays, severe weather, natural disasters, government actions, or other unforeseen events.
If we learn that your order cannot be shipped within the timeframe promised, we will contact you regarding the delay and available options as required by applicable law.
Please ensure that your shipping address is accurate before completing your purchase. We are not responsible for packages delivered to an incorrect address provided by the customer.
11. Digital PDF Products
Digital PDFs are separate products and are not automatically included with the purchase of a physical book.
If you purchase a personalized digital PDF, the file will be delivered according to the instructions provided with your purchase.
Because digital products can be downloaded, saved, and reproduced, digital PDF purchases are generally non-refundable once the file has been delivered or made available for download, except where required by applicable law or where the file is defective or cannot reasonably be accessed.
A purchased digital PDF is for the purchaser's personal use. It may not be resold, redistributed, uploaded publicly, or used to create products for sale.
Purchasing a physical book does not grant the purchaser the right to reproduce, distribute, or commercially reproduce the book or its contents.
12. Intellectual Property
All original content created by Every Little Story, including book concepts, written content, illustrations, designs, layouts, graphics, branding, logos, website content, and other original materials, is owned by or licensed to Every Little Story and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Purchasing a personalized book does not transfer ownership of Every Little Story's intellectual property to the customer.
Customers may use their purchased physical book and any separately purchased digital PDF for personal, non-commercial purposes.
Customers may not:
Copy or reproduce Every Little Story's book designs or written content
Resell or redistribute our books or digital PDFs
Create derivative products based on our books for commercial purposes
Upload or distribute our digital books publicly
Use our content, designs, or materials to create competing products
Remove copyright or other proprietary notices
Customer-provided photographs and other customer-owned content remain the property of the customer or the applicable rights holder. These Terms & Conditions do not transfer ownership of those materials to Every Little Story.
13. Use of Customer Content
When you provide photographs or other content to Every Little Story for the purpose of creating your personalized book, you give us permission to use that content only as reasonably necessary to create, produce, fulfill, and provide customer support for your order.
This permission does not give Every Little Story ownership of your photographs.
We will not use your child's photographs or your personalized book for marketing, advertising, social media, or other promotional purposes without your separate permission.
Our handling of personal information and photographs is further described in our Privacy Policy.
14. AI and Customer Information
Every Little Story does not submit customer photographs, children's photographs, names, personalization information, or other identifying personal information to artificial intelligence or generative AI tools for the creation or processing of personalized books.
Customer information is not provided to AI companies for the purpose of training, developing, or improving AI models.
Any future changes to our use of customer information or technology will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
15. Reorders and Retention of Completed Books
To make replacement and additional orders easier for customers, Every Little Story may retain a copy of a customer's completed personalized book for a limited period.
Our current retention period is approximately two years after the original order.
During this period, we may use the retained book file to fulfill a reorder or replacement request without requiring the customer to resubmit all photographs and personalization information.
Retention of a completed book does not mean that individual uploaded photograph files will be retained indefinitely. Please see our Privacy Policy for more information about our retention and deletion practices.
A retained completed book is not provided to the customer as a free digital PDF.
Digital PDFs are a separate product and must be purchased separately.
16. Website Use
You may use the Every Little Story website for lawful personal purposes and in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.
You may not:
Use the website for unlawful purposes
Attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the website
Copy, reproduce, or commercially exploit website content without permission
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or information
Use automated systems to scrape or collect website content without our permission
We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the website if we reasonably believe a user has violated these Terms & Conditions or applicable law.
17. Website Content and Availability
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information on our website is accurate and current. However, we do not guarantee that every description, image, price, product availability, or other website information will always be completely accurate or error-free.
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue products, website features, or portions of the website at any time.
Product photographs and mockups are intended to provide an illustration of the product. The final printed product may vary slightly in appearance due to printing, materials, screen settings, and other production factors.
18. Third-Party Services
Every Little Story may use third-party companies and services to operate our website, process payments, collect customization information, create books, print products, and deliver orders.
Those third parties may have their own terms and privacy policies. Your use of third-party services may also be subject to those policies.
Our Privacy Policy provides additional information about how customer information may be handled by third-party service providers.
19. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Every Little Story will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our website or purchase or use of our products.
Our liability relating to a particular purchase will not exceed the amount actually paid for that purchase, except where a greater amount is required by applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
20. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising from your violation of these Terms & Conditions, your misuse of the website, or your submission of content that violates the rights of another person.
21. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute arising from these Terms & Conditions or your purchase from Every Little Story will be handled in accordance with applicable North Carolina and federal law.
22. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time as our business, products, services, or applicable laws change.
When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
Your continued use of our website after updated Terms & Conditions are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms to the extent permitted by law.
