When you purchase a personalized book from Every Little Story, we may collect information necessary to create and fulfill your order, including:

Information about the child for whom the book is being created, such as their name, age, or other information you choose to provide for personalization
Photographs and other images you upload for use in your personalized book
Other information you voluntarily provide through our customization forms

We also do not use photographs of your child or other people provided for a personalized book for advertising, social media, promotional materials, or other marketing purposes without your separate permission.
Photos and Personal Information Used for Personalized Books
We understand that photographs and information provided for a personalized book may be particularly personal and sensitive.
Photos and personalization information submitted through our customization process are used to create your purchased book. Your photographs are not publicly displayed or shared for promotional purposes without your permission.
Your uploaded photographs may temporarily be stored with the third-party services we use to collect and create your order, including Google Forms/Google Drive and Canva. These services have their own privacy and security practices.
We take reasonable steps to limit access to customer information and use these services only as needed to operate our business and fulfill your order.
Your Information Will Never Be Submitted to AI
Every Little Story does not submit, upload, or provide customer photographs, children's photographs, names, personalization details, or other identifying personal information to artificial intelligence (AI) tools or generative AI services for the creation or processing of your personalized book.
Your child's photographs and personal information are used only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, such as creating and fulfilling your personalized book.
We do not use customer photographs or personal information to train, develop, or improve AI models, and we do not provide customer information to AI companies for these purposes.
If our technology or business practices change in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy as appropriate and will not use customer information for new purposes without appropriate notice and, where required, consent.
Third-Party Service Providers
We may use trusted third-party service providers to help operate Every Little Story and fulfill your order. Depending on the product and order, these may include services used for:
Website hosting and ecommerce
Payment processing
Collecting customization information and photographs
Designing and storing personalized book files
Printing and fulfilling physical books
Shipping and delivery
Customer communication
These providers may have access to information only as reasonably necessary to perform services on our behalf. Third-party providers have their own privacy policies and terms governing their handling of information.
Retention and Deletion of Photos
We believe you should not have to wonder how long we keep your child's photographs.
After your personalized book has been completed and your order has been successfully fulfilled, we intend to delete individual photograph files that are no longer needed from the systems we control, including copies stored on our computer, in our Google Drive/Form workflow, and as individual image assets in Canva.
We do not intend to retain individual uploaded photographs indefinitely.
Please note that deletion from our systems does not necessarily mean immediate deletion from the systems of third-party service providers, which may retain information according to their own policies and applicable legal requirements.
Retention of Completed Personalized Books
To make reorders and replacement copies easier for our customers, we may retain a copy of the completed personalized book after the original order has been fulfilled.
A completed book may contain photographs, names, and other personal information provided for the original order. We treat these completed books as private customer information and do not use them for marketing without your permission.
Our current retention period for completed personalized book files is approximately two years after the original order. After that period, we intend to delete the completed book file unless we have a legitimate business or legal reason to retain it for a longer period.
If you need a replacement or additional copy while your completed book is retained, we may use the retained file to fulfill that request without requiring you to resubmit all of your photographs.
Digital PDF Purchases
A digital PDF of a personalized book is a separate product and is not automatically included with the purchase of a physical book.
If you purchase a digital PDF, we will provide the digital file as described in the product listing. Because the digital PDF contains the personalized content created for your order, you are responsible for storing and protecting your copy once it has been delivered to you.
Marketing and Use of Customer Photos
We will not use your child's photographs, your personalized book, or other identifiable customer content on our website, social media, advertising, promotional materials, or other marketing without your separate permission.
If we would like to share a customer's book or photographs for promotional purposes, we will request permission separately.
Providing photographs for the purpose of creating a book does not constitute permission for us to use those photographs for marketing.
Protecting Your Information
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the information we handle to help protect customer information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
Access to customer photographs and personalized book files is limited to what is reasonably necessary to create and fulfill your order.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted or stored electronically.
Children's Privacy
Every Little Story creates personalized books that are purchased and customized by parents, guardians, or other adults. We do not intentionally ask children to create accounts, submit photographs, or provide personal information directly to us.
Parents and guardians are responsible for providing photographs and information about children for the purpose of creating personalized books.
Our website is not intended to encourage children to submit personal information directly to us.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information directly to Every Little Story without appropriate parental or guardian involvement, please contact us so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete the information.

Please understand that if you request deletion of a completed personalized book before the applicable retention period has ended, we may no longer be able to provide a reorder or replacement copy without you resubmitting the photographs and information needed to recreate the book.
