Hello third trimester!
I’m baffled at how this last trimester came so fast. The first trimester drug on…since I was feeling like absolute garbage most of the time…but ever since we hit the second trimester, time has been flying by! James actually asked me last week if I was incubating extra fast. Not so much.

because my feet ache every day and flip flops are where it’s at.
It has been a CRAZY week! Between work, little league for Brennan, working on weekends…I’m just worn out. I also had to take the 3 hour glucose last Friday since I failed the 1 hour by 7 tiny points. 4 blood draws in 3 hours was not fun, neither was drinking that crap again. I looked like a heroin addict for a few days because of the marks on my arms. So not cute. But I found out yesterday that I passed! Thank goodness. I was stressing out about not being able to eat chocolate anymore. But in all seriousness, I was not thrilled at the possibility of something as serious as diabetes. Not like anyone wishes for it, but I’m beyond thankful that I don’t have to go through that, and I’m going to make an effort to try and eat better, regardless, because these last few weeks have not been good and with 12 weeks left, I’ve still got some weight to gain and I’d rather do it gracefully.
This bump is a-growin’! I’d love to wear yoga pants on the daily, but my employer would likely frown upon that, since I’m already breaking rules by wearing flip flops multiple times a week. I’m totally taking advantage of things while pregnant, because…well, I can… I’m wishing, currently, that my wardrobe was full of maxi dresses, because they’re basically like nightgowns that are kosher to wear in public. Unless, of course, you’re a 28 week pregnant leopard wearing head-to-toe animal print. I probably stick out like a sore thumb in this get-up, but whatevs…it makes me feel comfy. There’s no hiding this bump now, so I might as well showcase my wide load in all-over prints!
I’m feeling pretty good these days, but I am noticing that I get a lot of tightness and uncomfortableness after lifting or being too active. I guess it’s Braxton Hicks, I’m not really sure, but some days are worse than others. Like the days last week spent clearing out my office at work in preparation for the new carpet install. I have to remind myself that my body needs more rest now, and to ask for help.
12 more weeks…the home stretch…
