Top: Decree from JCPenney (last summer, and can no longer button around the growing gozungas!)
Tank: Basic Racer Back from Old Navy
Pants: Mossimo from Target (I purchased from the Goodwill for $5 and DIY’ed some maternity pants, see this post)
Sandals: Target (last year, I wear them entirely too often. favorite!)
Lips: Spell Bound by Nyx (love this lipstick!)
The arms…white as a ghost…and would you believe, I’ve been using self-tanner! Such a Cullen! But these feather print pants, I adore them. And they’re the type of item, that upon wearing to work, are likely to get many looks and stares from various people I encounter on a daily basis. I haven’t worn this hi-lo top in awhile, but threw it on because it’s yet another piece from my already existing wardrobe that just happens to fit around the belly! Although the highest button will no longer tolerate being buttoned without a giant, gaping and pressure-bound hole. So unbuttoned it is!
The maternity pants DIY I followed is genius, and while these ones ended up a tad looser than I’d like (I should not have used jersey), they’re still so comfortable and let my belly be freeeeee…like the wind…and since baby girl has been having a dance party for a few days now, and can’t sit still, we are liking the extra freedom. I’m surprised at how much I’ve enjoyed getting dressed while pregnant. I was really concerned that old habits, the self-confidence kind, would rear their ugly head. And while they’re still voicing their opinions, I’m able to silence them more now because my body has such an amazing purpose at this moment in my life. I did have a moment last night when James walked into the dining room and exclaimed, “WHOA, hey belly!” Which my brain immediately translated into, “OMFG do I look THAT big?!” But quickly turned into laughter because it’s true, the belly is just making its presence known these days. And my current obsession with striped dresses just amplifies things.
22 weeks today…the weeks are breezing by…maybe it’s because I’m feeling better now, mostly. The first trimester seemed to drag on and on…you know, that old tilt-a-whirl ride reference I used to compare it to? The ride just wouldn’t stop. I’m curious to find out if the third trimester will feel the same…only time will tell…
Happy Wednesday!

You look great! I love that sheer top. I wish that the style of short front and long back shirt was flattering on me – I can't pull it off!
I saw those pants a while back at Target, and if I remember right they were really soft and seemed comfortable. And nice job with the DIY!

I love those pants! DIY maternity stuff is brilliant.
