Dearest little bean,
Mama’s been busy…at least…it feels that way, but really the nausea and fatigue has had me down for the count most days! But I’ve been feeling better these last few days.
Over the weekend we went up north to A) celebrate our anniversary and B) to go to a tea party with your cousin, Audrey. On Saturday I tagged along to the pool while your dad, Brennan, Aunt Trista and cousins, Audrey & Ayden, went swimming. Your grandma Simon and I just sat and chatted and laughed watching everyone go down slides and jump off the diving board. But at one point I thought I might die because the room was SO hot and humid, so I had to go out and walk it off for a minute. Sometimes I forget how different my body is right now. Afterwards, Brennan, Audrey & Ayden went ice skating while your dad and I headed home to get dressed.
Saturday was also our 7th anniversary! SEVENTH!!! Can you believe it?! I bet you can’t. Every year is a milestone, but the number 7 is usually pretty lucky and in our 7th year, we got you!! So this anniversary was pretty special. Your dad took me out to the Petoskey Brewery for an appetizer and beer…except…I drank water…but was pretty excited about the pretzel breadsticks and cheese, obviously. After that we headed to dinner at the Noggin Room (a favorite pub!) and I ordered a virgin daiquiri to feel fancy, but it was more like eating dessert, it was so sweet! I also ate half a pizza. Go me! We got the cute little table by the fireplace, but right underneath the speaker while live music was playing, so we got to yell at each other a lot. But it was nice to have a night out together.
Oh and I got dad a cute frame that says “I love my daddy!” with your picture. He loved it!
Then we went to the casino…which wasn’t so lucky…and proceeded to lose a bunch of money. BOOOO!
On Sunday I had big plans to attend a Girl Scout tea party with your grandma, aunt and cousin Audrey. But your Aunt Trista was really sick and passed out and ended up in the emergency room. We were all pretty worried, but it ended being the result of a really bad sinus infection. So Audrey and I went to tea with just each other. I know she was worried about her mama, but she was a brave girl and had a good time. I was glad that I could be there for her. You were there too (obviously), but I’m not sure how much you like tea parties yet, so I can’t say if you had fun or not.
We got home last night and I snuggled your kitty siblings and watched TV with dad. The usual, but I wouldn’t change it for anything. I just love that man.
Thanks for easing up lately with the nausea issue, I know you’re just trying to grow in there, but it was really taking it’s toll for awhile.
And don’t judge us for getting pulled over multiple times in one weekend, mom’s just been lazy about fixing her busted headlight.
And here’s two of the only pictures I took this weekend. I was mad at myself for not getting a picture of dad and I on our anniversary, but sometimes you just enjoy yourself and forget about photo ops.

Anyhoo, everything is going swimmingly for now…and we’re STILL thinking of you every minute!! And we even have some favorite names that could be official!! But mama is pretty indecisive, so she’ll probably change her mind 20 times before you’re born.
