It seems that spring has finally decided to make an appearance, for a second, at least. Because in Michigan, it could be winter again in five minutes. I had to work for a bit on Saturday, but I definitely took advantage of the weather and wore a dress/maternity tent and sandals (toenails STILL aren’t painted). And it was glorious! Plus, I felt like I was wearing pj’s all day. And I also can’t stop belting everything! I feel like I have zero waist if I don’t, and it’s definitely turning into a zero waist kind of body these days…
|Dress: Liz Lange for Target (last year and worn as non-maternity before ever getting pregnant!)
Sweater: Sears, of all places (last year)
Belt: Old Navy (I’m kind of obsessed with these elastic belts right now) // Shades: Don’t remember
|Day 4 hair equals a dirty bun kind of day…a sock and some spin pins and you’re good to go!|
|Just me and my girl in this big ‘ol world…|
It was such a beautiful day, and going home to laze around on a couch didn’t sound fun at all. I spent the afternoon scouring thrift stores for a dresser for bean’s room, which just isn’t happening! And also for whatever other various treasures one may find. Like Target rejects sent to Goodwill for a steal of a deal! Over the last week, I’ve bought a ton for baby girl for under $20. I love a bargain! And you can’t beat brand new baby clothes for 99 cents!
I then met up with James for happy hour, because mama wanted tacos. But was sadly disappointed when I found out there was no happy hour taco special and devoured this instead (most of this, because this baby still doesn’t allow me to eat a lot in one sitting). Apparently $1 off Coronas are frowned upon during human building…
It was fantastic, and full of beans, my favorite! Plus it was just nice to sit with James and talk about whatever…after that, we headed over to Walmart to pick up our crib, which is a gift from my mom, but it ended up not being ready yet. I was sad, and James proceeded to look at me with that you-crazy-pregnant-woman-we-don’t-need-it-for-another-five-months look. But I want it set up. So I can stare at it. Admire it. Train the a-hole cats not to claim it as their own, you know, normal stuff. It’s not the original crib we wanted, but that’s a story for another day. I’m super excited about this one though, and it’s an amazing alternate!
