Dearest little bean,
Your mama is STILL feeling terrible, and looking terrible…pregnancy is not glamorous right now, but I know it’s because you’re busy in there, getting big and strong.
We went up north this last weekend. I’m sure you’ll get to know “up north” pretty well someday. We visited your grandparents. Your dad’s mom, Grandma Moats, and your dad’s dad and stepmom, Grandma and Grandpa Simon. And also your Aunt Trista and cousins Audrey and Ayden. We told them all about you and in general, there was lots of excitement. Your two little cousins are pretty excited about you too. Audrey loves babies and Ayden was obsessed with whether or not you could hear him. At one point he tapped on my belly and said, “Knock, knock…who’s in there? Can you hear me?” The kids also took your picture and hung it on the wall so they could look at it more often.
Your brother made his first protective move, making sure the little kids aren’t rough-housing with me, since I’m fragile. I told you he’d be a great big brother!! I’m more fragile than normal, but definitely not breakable 😉
Still battling this cold, and feeling blah most of the time. “They” say it will get better in the second trimester and we’re almost there!! I hope “they” are right.
“They” also say that in pregnancy, your skin, hair and nails get much healthier and beautiful. “They” LIED!! I look like Frumpy McFrumperson these days fulls of zits, cracking nails and dull, dry hair! Hope you’re not afraid of me when you come out 😉
Loving you more and more every day! Being able to tell people about you feels so good, and lots of people are so excited to meet you already!
