Weeks are flying by at a rapid pace…
There were three notable events from last week…Lark FINALLY has two teeth breaking through! Only took her 10.5 months to get some chompers. But she’s been a bit fussy from the whole ordeal and she hates teething rings of any sort, so we take the edge off with motrin because it’s quite obvious they’re hurting her.
We also put an offer on a house. A house we REALLY liked. But it has some water issues in the basement which compelled us to give bit lower of an offer, due to the cost of repairs. Unfortunately, there’s another offer on the house as well that is both higher and with a more significant down payment, so we don’t have much hope. It’s also a short sale so there’s no telling how long this all could take. It’s already been over a week since we submitted our offer.
Lark has also been trying to stand on her own, unassisted. It’s really quite funny to watch because she gets into squatting position and uses all her might to try and raise her body up! She has done so successfully a couple of times now, but always when there is no camera in sight, of course!
We also had a quick visit from Brennan, who is with his mom for the summer. But they were in town and he came over for a bit and then went to a movie with James. I think he misses us…for now đ
We ended the week with Lark getting sick. When I got her out of bed Sunday, she threw up and was really lethargic for awhile afterward. I was actually a bit worried at one point because she was almost like a ragdoll and couldn’t keep her eyes open. After some Motrin and lots of sleeping and nursing, she perked up and was in better spirits. I didn’t feel great either and have been more tired than usual…there’s a lot going on these days.
